The Project Automated Librarian
نویسنده
چکیده
The Project Automated Librarian (PAL) is a tool that has been created to manage the logistical problems inherent in a medium-sized software development project. The main goals of PAL are to eliminate the problems of simultaneous updates to software modules, while allowing programmers access to the latest possible versions of the software. PAL also seeks to prevent the software from getting into an inconsistent state that could prevent users from proceeding with software development because of someone else’s errors. PAL is a generalpurpose tool, in the sense that it does not care what language or languages the system is being written in. It makes backups, keeps version information. and maintains documentation of changes.
